A Comissão Europeia apresentou a sua proposta para o Quadro Financeiro Plurianual (QFP) 2028-2034 na semana passada.

A proposta, no nosso entender, é prejudicial para o setor florestal europeu e nacional, uma vez que prevê uma redução do orçamento da Política Agrícola Comum (PAC) — uma fonte crucial de apoio às florestas.
Implica uma redução do orçamento da PAC, com um corte nominal de cerca de 22,5%, e introduz a ideia da criação de um “Fundo Único”.

The European Commission presented its proposal for the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2028–2034 last week.

The proposal, as we understand it, is detrimental to the European and national forestry sector, as it foresees a reduction in the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) budget — a critical source of support for forests.
It implies a reduction in the CAP budget, with a nominal cut of around 22.5%, and introduces the idea of creating a “Single Fund.”
